Independence Day in San Clemente is packed with fun events including the office chair races and pier firework show. It's the perfect day to spend at the beach celebrating our nation's independence. Be sure to get your spot at the beach early!

An annual tradition every 4th of July, participants gather to race down Avenida Rosa on their office chairs and amidst a friendly streetwide water balloon fight.

A classic in San Clemente since 2003. San Clemente locals build and race office chair vehicles to kick off the 4th of July celebration. It’s a street party, water balloon fight, and race.
Fireworks at the pier.
San Clemente Pier firework show starts at 9pm. Pull up your chair and get ready to celebrate Independence Day and our nation’s freedom. There is plenty of room along the beach and ocean trail.

Grab your favorite spot near the beach to view San Clemente’s annual firework show. Parking is limited, be sure to plan ahead or use public transportation. Additional parking is available at Outlets at San Clemente via the trolley.
